About quiet builds
I build things quietly.
Not quietly as in secretly. Quietly as in without rushing. Without noise.
Without adding things before they are needed.
My day job lives in the WordPress world. I spend a lot of time thinking
about how people read, write, and publish on the open web.
Quiet Builds is where I work on things outside of that. Side projects.
Personal tools. Things I want to exist.
The first one is a reading app. The idea is simple: what if a blog felt
like a book? What if reading on your phone felt like sitting down with
something, rather than scrolling through it?
That question turned into a project. This blog is the record of building it.
I write here when something is worth saying. Not on a schedule. Not to
fill space.
If you are building something too, I hope some of this is useful.
